1. Who we are

pdfeditorai.com is operated by BAWFSO LLC (registered in Wyoming, USA, also operating the Airvago brand). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and PDF tools.

2. Privacy-by-design: local processing

Almost every PDF tool on pdfeditorai.com — merge, split, compress, rotate, OCR, watermark, edit, sign, organize, convert, etc. — runs entirely in your browser using a Web Worker. The contents of your PDF files are never transmitted to our servers and are not stored by us at any point.

A small number of optional AI features (e.g. chat-with-PDF, summarize, translate) require sending the text you submit to an AI provider in order to generate a response. We tell you before this happens.

3. Information we collect

Account data

  • Email address and authentication identifier when you sign up.
  • Plan tier (Free, Pro) and usage counters for daily quota.

Technical data

  • Browser type, language, device type, screen size.
  • IP address (used transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
  • Error reports (no file content — only stack traces and tool name).

Usage analytics

  • Aggregated, non-personal counts of which tools are opened.
  • We do not read, parse, or send your PDF contents.

4. How we use information

  • To operate and secure the service.
  • To enforce free-plan quotas and bill paid plans.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To improve features based on aggregated usage signals.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your PDF content to train AI models.

5. Sub-processors

  • Supabase — authentication, database, file storage for opt-in features.
  • AI gateway providers (Google, OpenAI) — only for AI features you explicitly trigger.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection.
  • Google AdSense — serves advertising on free pages. Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to measure and personalise ads. Ads are not shown to Pro subscribers. Manage your ad settings at google.com/settings/ads.

6. International transfers

Our infrastructure runs in the United States and the European Union. When we transfer personal data out of the EEA / UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Retention

  • Account data: kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Quota counters: rolling 30 days.
  • Error logs: 90 days.
  • PDF content: not stored — discarded as soon as your browser tab closes.

8. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You can request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@pdfeditorai.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children

pdfeditorai.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Security

We use TLS for all traffic, row-level security on our database, and principle-of-least-privilege access for our team. No system is 100% secure, but we strive to follow industry best practice.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are announced on the website. The current version date is shown at the top of this page.
